Seasonal Fruit CSA

Good Fruit. Good People. A Family Orchard, GROWN WITH GRATITUDE.

Since 1905, our family has been growing fruit on over 60 acres of land — four generations and more than a century of seasons, harvests, surprises, and a whole lot of apples.

Joining our CSA is about more than getting a box of fruit. It’s a way to support a family farm and help us write the next chapter of our orchards.

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for community supported agriculture.

At its heart, it’s a pretty simple idea: connect the people who grow your food with the people who eat it. CSA members purchase a farm share early in the season, giving farmers the support and stability to grow for their community. In return, members receive a share of what the farm grows throughout the season. It’s a direct relationship between farmer and eater, and honestly, we think that’s a pretty great thing.

Your CSA membership directly supports our fourth-generation family orchard in Selah, Washington. When you join, you’re helping us care for our trees, support our hardworking crew, and keep doing what we’ve been doing since 1905: growing really good fruit for our community. You can pay for your share upfront or in three installments, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Our CSA is all fruit, which means it’s easy: just open your weekly box and find it packed with fresh fruit from our orchard. We offer four seasons of CSA shares, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring, and members receive their fruit at a discount with convenient neighborhood or home delivery options.

Most importantly, you’re not just buying a box of fruit. You’re becoming part of our orchard’s season. Your support helps keep a small family farm farming, and in return, we get to send a little piece of our orchard over the mountains and into your home each week. That’s Community Supported Agriculture.

how does our csa work?

We use Farmigo to manage our CSA, from sign-up to weekly boxes. When you join, you can choose a neighborhood pick-up site (currently free) or home delivery ($9 per delivery) if we deliver to your area. We have pick-up sites all over the Seattle area, and you can click “Map” on the sign-up page to see them all at a glance. Your pick-up site host will be your friendly local point of contact when it comes time to grab your box.

We typically open CSA sign-ups 1–2 months before deliveries begin. That early support is a big part of how a CSA works and is incredibly important to us. It gives us the funds and the confidence to start getting the season ready, from planning and growing to packing and building all those routes over the mountains.

Delivery days vary by season. Summer and Fall deliveries run Monday through Thursday, Winter runs Tuesday through Thursday, and Spring typically runs Tuesday and Wednesday. Boxes are delivered between 8am and 4pm, although your exact delivery time will vary depending on the route and the day.

And we’ll keep you in the loop along the way. Each week, CSA members receive an email with what’s going in the box, tips for storing your fruit, farm updates, and a little glimpse into what’s happening back at the orchard. It’s our way of keeping all of us connected.

What Fruit Will be in the box?

Our Summer CSA consists of cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, pluots, apples and more! It is by far our most popular CSA share due to the wide variety of fruit we grow.

The Fall CSA generally consists of late season peaches and nectarines during the first couple weeks, plus a mix of plums and pluots if weather allows. It is mainly different types of apples and pears for the majority of the deliveries.

Our Winter CSA features various types of apples and pears - we grow over fourteen types of apples, so you can be sure we keep it interesting for our CSA members! We save our most unique and tasty varieties for our winter members.

Our Spring CSA features a mixed variety of only apples. The Spring CSA boxes will most likely contain the same fruit each week. This short 7 week season is a great way to keep supporting our family run orchard until cherry season arrives, plus we allow all Spring members to register first for our Summer season, securing a spot.

We pride ourselves on growing the most unique types of fruit and we only put the best, most fresh and crisp fruit in our CSA boxes.

Our fruit is sustainably grown (we do not have organic certification) and picked to ensure the fruit will ripen on your table so you can enjoy it the best possible moment.

While we do not allow CSA members to customize their box, we offer a “Farmers Choice” subscription that contains the best fruit in season. We also allow members to buy extra fruit through our online farm store at the member discount and have it delivered with their CSA box to their home or pick-up site!

Members also receive a seasonal discount to use at our Farmers Market locations.
