Assistant Manager

 Position Overview

Collins Family Orchards is a 4th generation family farm located in Selah, WA and servicing the greater Seattle area. We are a growing farm and are looking for someone who is interested in growing with us! As the Assistant Manager, you will assist our General Manager with all aspects of our Seattle operations. Duties will include: organizing daily operations, managing social media accounts, managing 1-3 employees, answering customer service emails and phone calls, writing weekly newsletters, leading packing shifts, occasional delivery driving, and more! We are looking for someone reliable, hard working, and interested in having a hand in everything we do.

 

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 2/3pm
Potential for remote work

Pay:

$21/hour

 

Job duties

·      Assisting our General Manager with all aspects of our operation.

·      Organizing our CSA and Online Store packing information

·      Answering customer support e-mails and phone calls

·      Filling in on delivery routes

·      Conducting the weekly CSA pickup at our warehouse

·      Creating and managing newsletters and Instagram posts

·      Managing 1 - 3 employees

·      Providing a friendly and memorable customer experience while problem solving on your feet

·      Educating customers about our fruit and growing practices

 

Qualifications

Please note: This position is located in Seattle. You will occasionally be able to work from home if you have a laptop, but you will primarily work out of our warehouse located in Georgetown. You must have reliable transportation to this area. This position requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

·      Has a clean driving record and has experience driving a utility van and driving around the city

·      Passionate about sustainable agriculture and local food

·      Experience working in a fast-paced environment

·      Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly

·      Consistent attention to detail and ability to multitask

·      Willingness to work in inclement conditions

·      Strong problem solving skills and ability to think on your feet

·      Adaptability between working in a team setting and working independently

·      Flexible with scheduling and committed to working a seasonal position June - December with part time work in the off season

·      Ability to give and receive constructive criticism gracefully
